12-Month Campaign Calendar

The Campaign Calendar gives marketers and e-commerce teams a central, visual dashboard to plan, orchestrate, and track annual promotional campaigns, product drops, and global sales events.

Located in the sidebar under Create → Calendar, it aligns email sends and automated journeys with key dates across the calendar year.

Key Features

  • 12-Month Bird's-Eye Overview: View all 12 calendar months in a single annual grid to evaluate campaign spacing, avoid promo fatigue, and spot sales gaps.
  • Detailed Month View: Inspect individual days in a 7-column calendar grid to schedule specific drop dates and inspect event details.
  • Branded vs. Global Event Types:
    • Branded Events: Custom product launches, VIP restocks, clearance sales, and brand anniversaries.
    • Global Events: Preset major e-commerce shopping holidays, computed correctly for the actual date each year (floating holidays like Labor Day or Easter shift year to year rather than staying pinned to one date) and shown for the account's chosen target region — see below.
  • Asset Deep Linking: Link any event directly to a Studio Project or Journey Automation with one-click navigation straight into the editor.
  • Schedule the Send: When an event is linked to a project, Schedule this send creates a one-time send for that project on the event's start date directly from the calendar — see Trigger a send from an event below.
  • Category Filtering: Filter events by category (All, Branded, Global) or cycle across years.

Target Region

The built-in global events aren't one fixed worldwide list — they're scoped to a target region, chosen from a dropdown in the calendar's toolbar: Global (region-neutral), United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom, France, Germany, European Union, India, Japan, or Australia. Each region shows its own real, correctly-dated shopping moments in addition to the region-neutral set (New Year's, Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Singles' Day, BFCM, and a few others) — Canada gets its own Thanksgiving in October alongside the US one in November, France gets its statutory Soldes d'hiver/d'été sales windows, Japan gets Golden Week, and so on.

This is deliberately independent of where your team is physically located — an agency based in Europe running campaigns for a US-based client picks "United States," not "European Union." The choice is account-wide (shared by the whole team, same as other account settings) but can be previewed per-view from the same dropdown; whichever region you last pick becomes the new account default.

Trigger a send from an event

Linking a project to an event used to be purely a navigation shortcut — a one-click jump into the Studio editor, with the actual send still done by hand from the project's Send page. The event editor's Schedule this send button now closes that gap: with a project linked, clicking it creates a one-time schedule (see Recurring sends) targeting that project for the event's start date at 09:00 UTC. The email goes out automatically on that date to the project's configured audience — no need to come back and remember to send it.

The schedule it creates is a normal schedule under the hood: it shows up on the linked project's own Send page, where you can adjust the send hour, apply an audience filter, or pick a different sender identity, exactly like any other recurring schedule.

Creating & Managing Events

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → Calendar (/dashboard/calendar).
  2. Click + New Event or click directly on any date in the Month View.
  3. Enter event details:
    • Title & Description: Name the event and summarize goals.
    • Type & Color Theme: Choose between Branded or Global, and pick a visual color badge.
    • Start & End Dates: Set multi-day sale ranges or single-day deadlines.
    • Linked Assets: Select a Studio Project or Journey Automation to tie to the event.
  4. Click Save Event.

Integration with Studio Projects & Journeys

When an event is linked to a project or journey:

  • Clicking the event card displays direct quick links to Studio Editor (/dashboard/studio?project=...) or Journey Editor (/dashboard/journeys/...).
  • Marketers can jump directly from annual strategy planning into email creation and workflow configuration without losing context.
  • A linked project can also be scheduled to send automatically on the event's date with one click — see Trigger a send from an event above.

A linked Journey stays navigation-only for now: opening the Journey Editor from an event is a shortcut into the automation's own canvas, but there's no calendar-date trigger kind yet — a Journey still starts from whatever trigger it's actually configured with (list-joined, purchase, etc.), not from the calendar event's date.
